Join us Thursday June 9th for SRH Law’ 5th annual Art+Soul Event benefitting Local Motion

Posted on May 24, 2016 by SRH Law

SRH Law invites you to join us for the 5th Annual Art+Soul celebration at our office on June 9, 2016, from 5:30-9:00 p.m.

EVENT BACKGROUND
Over the last fifteen years, our law firm has been privileged to work with people all around Vermont who are engaged in creative and meaningful enterprises that make a real difference in our communities. Helping these inspiring individuals, nonprofits, and businesses succeed is what makes the practice of law so fulfilling for all of us at SRH Law.

We created Art+Soul to celebrate their good work, raise money for great causes, and help people forge new connections in Vermont’s vibrant creative economy. Each year, Art+Soul benefits a different local nonprofit and features local art inspired by, or connected to, the nonprofit’s mission. All art will be sold, and proceeds from art sales will be split between the artists and the nonprofit.

This year, the event will benefit Local Motion and will feature more art from local artists, all inspired by Local Motion’s mission.

About Local Motion

Champlain Housing TrustLocal Motion is a member-supported nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring walking and biking within reach for all Vermonters, and to help Vermont communities become great places to walk and bike.

Community leaders founded the organization in 1999 to develop the Winooski River Bike Ferry and the 10-mile historic Cycle the City tour.

COME CELEBRATE!
The last four Art+Soul events have been a great success, and we hope you’ll join us again this year on June 9, 2016, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at our office at 91 College Street in Burlington. Come out to celebrate, make some new connections, and enjoy Burlington at its best during the Discover Jazz Festival.

Art + Soul Patio

Call to Artists – Deadline May 12. Late submissions will be considered if space allows.

Art+Soul is seeking submissions of creative pieces in any medium that are inspired by or connected to Local Motion’s mission. The artwork does not need to be newly-created work; it just needs to be related to Local Motion’s mission. Artists will participate in a one-night benefit and event on June 9, 2016 at which the artwork will be sold, with a 50/50 split going to Local Motion and to the artist, and you set the price!

The art submission deadline is May 12, 2016. Please click here for the Art Submission Form. For more information about the event or art submissions please contact Christy Mitchell or Ki McClennan.
