Posted on September 18, 2018 by SRH Law

On Friday, September 14, 2018, experts on business and climate change convened at Vermont Law School to discuss the role corporations have historically played in driving climate disruption, and how they can better combat the climate challenge.

Brian presented on his firm’s experience using litigation to challenge government subsidies that promote the release of climate change gases, including the groundbreaking suit, Friends of the Earth, Inc. et. al. v. Watson et. al.   Dunkiel also discussed his experience advising business clients interested in transitioning to renewable energy from fossil fuels, and using those positive actions to combat climate change in marketing and advertising materials.

Other topics included certified B-corporations, and new business entity formation structures designed to harness the power of climate solutions developed by businesses.
