SRH Law was pleased to sponsor the 30th annual KidSafe Collaborative Awards Luncheon on April 4 at the Doubletree. The awards honor outstanding individuals and groups in the community who have made a significant contribution to improving the safety and well-being of children in Chittenden County.
SRH Law attorney Jon Rose and practice manager/paralegal Lucia White both volunteer with the organization, which helps to coordinate and improve the community’s response to prevent child abuse and neglect. The event featured a silent auction, with items donated from many local businesses, the proceeds of which benefitted KidSafe. SRH Law is happy to celebrate the achievements of community members who help make a difference.
The 2019 award winners are:
Lifetime Achievement: Dr. Joseph F. Hagan Jr. – Pediatrician, Hagan, Rinehart and Connolly and University of Vermont Children’s Hospital
Outstanding Professional: Shelly McSweeney – Family Educator, Lund
Outstanding Promising Professional: Julia Connor – Pediatric Social Worker, University of Vermont Children’s Hospital
Outstanding Volunteer: Dr. Stephen Mann – Mentor, Cook, Photographer, Gardner and more, the Janet S. Munt Family Room
Gregory Packan Award for Outstanding Advocacy: Officer Nikki Moyer – Domestic Violence Prevention Officer, Burlington Police Department
Janet S. Munt Prevention Award: Beth Wagner – Book Buyer, Phoenix Books
