SRH Law Sponsors Renewable Energy Vermont’s Annual Virtual Conference

Posted on October 20, 2020 by SRH Law

SRH Law is proud to be a sponsor of Renewable Energy Vermont’s (REV) 2020 Virtual Conference:  Power to Renew. This event brings together leaders throughout the renewable energy sector to collaborate, innovate, and explore ways to make progress on pressing issues facing renewable energy today.

This conference will be a series of four sessions occurring during the next two months. The first session – Connectivity – will take place October 21, 2020 9:00 am – 12: 15 pm EDT.  It will focus on how to communicate effectively in order to advance climate solutions.  FERC Commissioner Richard Glick is the keynote speaker. He will share his views regarding the relationship between the federal government and state agencies, building the resilient grid of the future, and enabling market-based climate solutions.

Following the Commissioner’s remarks, experienced communications professionals on REV’s Spark Discussion Panel will share insights and advice on how to advance climate solutions through effective communication.  Panelists are Lisa Martine Jenkins of Morning Consult, Katherine Blunt of The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Michael Shank of the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance, Phoebe Sweet of Climate Nexus, Maggie Gendron of the Greater Washington Partnership, and moderator Jen Bristol of the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Three more sessions will occur later this Fall:

  • November 18: Resilience, featuring Kelly Speakes-Backman, CEO of the US Energy Storage Association
  • December 2: Moving Forward, featuring Secretary Kathleen Theoharides, Massachusetts Executive Office on Energy and Environment
  • December 9: Equity, featuring Coreina Chan, Principal in the Electricity Lab at the Rocky Mountain Institute

You may sign up for Conference sessions here. You can find more information regarding the Conference, sessions, and speakers here.
