Eileen Elliott to Teach CLE on End of Life Act at VBA Mid-Year Meeting

EileenElliott-lowresSRH Law attorney Eileen Elliott will be part of the faculty for the CLE “Patient Choice and Control at End of Life Act (Act 39)” at the VBA 57th Mid-Year Meeting. The CLE will be on Friday, March 21st from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Burlington Hilton. Register for the meeting here: http://bit.ly/1j0rHRb

“Act 39 was signed into law in May 2013, making Vermont the first state to enact such a law legislatively. This session will focus on: Vermont’s experience to date with the law; any relevant experience in Oregon, Washington and Montana; the law’s requirements for patients (including their families and friends), physicians, and hospitals; and the reporting obligations, opt-out provisions, time periods, and immunities. We will also touch on how the choice provided by the law fits with end of life planning.” (VBA flyer)
