Elizabeth Catlin represents City of Burlington on Waterfront Park Act 250 permit amendment

Posted on March 26, 2014 by SRH Law

Waterfront photo by LyndsayOn Monday, the Act 250 District #4 Environmental Commission heard from the City of Burlington and from opponents on amending the City’s Act 250 permit for Waterfront Park. The City’s application proposes changes in the location of the bike path, as well as improvements to lighting and electrical infrastructure at the Park. In addition, the City is seeking to modify existing permit conditions that set strict limitations on when the City can hold special events at this important City space.

The City is seeking the ability to hold special events at the Park throughout the calendar year, rather than only during the time frame set by the 1994 Act 250 permit, which restricts events from May 27 to September 15.

SRH Law attorney Elizabeth Catlin represented the City at the Act 250 hearing, along with Assistant City Attorney Gregg Meyer.
